On Wednesday, March 20, 2019, Andre Stephen Poole, loving husband, father and grandfather, gained his eternal wings and entered the kingdom of Heaven at age 46 in his Rochester Hills, Michigan home.
Andre was born December 3, 1972 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School, “Class of 1991” and went on to serve in the United States Army. Andre worked as a youth counselor for Wolverine Human Services and his Saginaw church home was Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.
Andre was a man that was loved, is missed, and will always be cherished for his kind heart, laughter, smile and love for sports. GO BLUE!! One of his favorite teams was the Michigan Wolverines. He was an amateur sports analyst. He loved joking and putting smiles on everyone’s face and giving out nicknames. Spending time with family and showing his love was very important. He was the life of the party. Andre was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.
Andre was preceded in death by his brother, James Swilley-Poole; grandparents, Johnny Poole, Charlie Harris, James Swilley, Sr., Annie Arnold; special aunt, Phyllis Goss; special cousin, Donta Young; father-in-law, Willie Mills; many other relatives and friends.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy his beautiful wife of thirteen years, Nicole Poole; three handsome sons, Andre Poole II, Iowa City, Iowa, Quindreveon and Dre'lyn Poole, Rochester Hills, Michigan; one grandchild, Serenity Gillespie-Poole, Iowa City, Iowa; parents, James and Sheila Swilley; sister, I'Esha Copeland, Saginaw, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Jocelyn Poole, Palm Springs, California, Renae (John) Williams, Saginaw, Michigan; brother, Jason Swilley; brothers-in-law, Dionne Mills, George Copeland, Willie Mills Jr. of Saginaw, Michigan; grandmother, Equilar Muhammad, Saginaw, Michigan; mother-in-law, Almeta Mills, Saginaw, Michigan; nieces, DaMaya and Kanija Mills, Saginaw, Michigan, Dionna and Rhianna Mills, Pontiac, Michigan; nephews, Rashad and Jalen Poole, Dionne Mills II, Ja'kiel Stone, Demetrius Mills, Treyshon Mills; two goddaughters; special cousins, Lamar, Tony, Lashare, Reggie Young, Nolen Adams; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Willie Troublefield, Avy Wyatt, Marcel Cormier and Deshawn Baker.
