Ashanti S.R. Green

Ms. Ashanti Sherisse Ronsh’e Green passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born on May 26, 1989, in Saginaw, and was the daughter of proud parents: Leonard (Joe Rock) Evans, Sheryl Joi Ann (QD) Green, John Alexander Burn, and Lori Jackson, her 2nd mother.

Ashanti enjoyed listening to music as she was an aspiring rap artist. She grew up listening to and watching her mother (rap extraordinaire QD) rap, write, record, and perform her music. Ashanti was definitely a go-getter and was not afraid in the face of a challenge. Ashanti was a best friend and sister to everyone (a ride or die); she was an inspiration to anyone who needed to be inspired. Ashanti spoke kind words of positivity and always opened her arms to anyone needing comfort, assistance, or shelter. She was family-oriented and loved her parents, her children, siblings, relatives, her friends, and her people. Ashanti had no boundaries when it came to loving and caring for people in her circle of love. We will all miss Ashanti Sherisse Ronsh’e Green.

Green, TiJuanna Harold Green, Dameon J. Green, Karen Robinson, and Marissa O'Brien; great-aunts, Carolyn J. Curry, Lorretta Longuemire, Pamela Brooks, and Rose Marie Bowman; niece, Faith Joi Ann Burns; cousins, Elmer Curry, Vannessa (Angel) Curry, Marsha Perkins, Latrice Chandler, Christine Longuemire, Kari Ann Richardson, Jayonn Green, Jarrin J.
