Carl Van Cooper was born September 18, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan to Clinter R. and Shirley Ann Cooper. God welcomed him into the heavenly kingdom on June 8, 2020.
Carl received his GED in Ionia, Michigan. Cooking was his passion and he always trying new dishes. Becoming a chef was his dream.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Clinter R. Cooper; brother, Leroy Brown Jr.; grandparents, Lillie Jackson, James and Demona Jackson, Annie Stidhum and Nathan Cooper; uncles, James Jackson Jr. and Jeffery Lauderdale; aunts, Diane Jackson and Archia Allen; brother-in-law, Jonathan Young.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Eugene Bailey, Saginaw, Michigan; daughter, Drucillla Houston, Bay City, Michigan; mother, Shirley Cooper; stepmother, Dorothy Cooper; three grandchildren, Demeriona Rashay Bailey, Jamar Houston, Jamerson Marcott; sisters, Robin Brown Young, Orlando, Florida, Stephanie (Joe) Shehee, Minden, Louisiana, Katrina Clark, Orlando, Florida, Latisha Fuller, Itonya Goodwine, Tiffany Hicks all of Saginaw Michigan; brother, David Clark, Saginaw, Michigan; aunts, Vanessa Lauderdale, Kansas City, Missouri, Cindy Jackson, Benton Harbor, Michigan, Sheila Mobley, Lisa Jackson, Annie Sue (Daniel) Goodwine, Emma Haines, Debra Clark, Millie Stewart, Carolyn (Anthony) Baber, Barbara Hoskins, Lisa Long, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Phyllisha Jackson, Detroit, Michigan; uncles, Charles (Linda) Stidhum, Saginaw Michigan, Nathan Jr. (Elizabeth) Cooper; special younger cousin Jahiem Burks; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including longtime family friends The Whittington and Lauderdale Families.
