Cory Demond Haynes Sr. passed away untimely on November 11, 2019. He was 43 years old, born March 12, 1976 in Saginaw, Michigan to Gloria Jean Haynes and John Neal Rodgers.
Cory was Baptized as a child at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Burt, Michigan. He graduated from JJ Pearce High School in Dallas Texas. He furthered his education at Detroit Institution of Music Education studying to become a Music Engineer. He was a co-founder of two local labels: Thoroughbred Records and M.O.E records. Music was his passion.
Cory had a big heart and a huge smile. He loved his family. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He lived his life on his terms. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cory was preceded in death by his mother Gloria Jean Haynes; niece, Shanell Haynes; cousin, Gregory Haynes.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Cory Haynes Jr., Jakia Hughes, Katera Haynes, Kayla Haynes, Jamarrion Haynes, Deon Haynes, Tristen Tudor; father, John Neal Rodgers; three grandchildren, Royal, Zeus, and Autumn Haynes; grandparents, Walter and Annie Haynes; three brothers, Torvell, Maurice, Jodie; sister Leila; four special cousins that he considered sisters, Constance Louis, LaTasha Toney, Errica Stokes, and Krystal Wright; four special cousins that he considered brothers, Gerald “Robanni” Kariem, Thomas “Tee” Satchel, Lamar Ziegler, Deon Haynes, Sr.; two close friends, Aaron A.K. Starks, DeAndre “Dre-Harn” Harness; uncles, James (Torsha) Haynes, Dallas, Texas, Lamar Haynes, Lamar Rodgers, both of Saginaw, Michigan; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the staff at St. Mary Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
