Mr. Curtis William Powell was born April 9, 1968 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Jasper William Powell and Inez Turner. He passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at the age of 51 years.
Curtis was as real as they come. He told it like it was straight up, no chaser. In high school, he ran track and played football, so he enjoyed watching sports on television and being around his family and friends. He enjoyed joking and laughing and being the life of the party.
Curtis loved his family dearly, especially his children and grandchildren. He loved all the kids in the family and treated his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. He will definitely be missed by us all.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Jasper William Powell; grandparents, Addie Pearl Turner and William Carter.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Inez Turner; companion, Mary Webb; daughters, Ebony, Charday and Christian Webb; stepchildren, Dominique Lowe, Duran Lowe; eighteen grandchildren; sisters, Helen (Jessie) Ross, Jessie Powell; brothers, Jasper (Towana) Powell, Jerry (Callandra) Lee, Horatio (Janell) Turner; eleven nieces; five nephews; special aunt, Anette McCray; uncle, Cecil Powell “Shorty”; special cousin, Renee McCray; many cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friend, Rinner Haulcy.
