Deviontae Banks

Mr. Deviontae Marcione-Jerome Banks was born December 27, 1991 in Saginaw, Michigan to Tara Nola Turner and Jerome Banks, Sr.

He was a member of The Way, The Truth and The Life Ministries. A true sneakerhead and a collector of Jordan 1s, he loved fashion and the latest trends. He enjoyed rapping, shopping and having a good time. His energy was phenomenal and he was always the life of the party. Anytime he was around you, you would always hear him say “I’m pulling up right now." "You feel me?" "You hear me?"

Deviontae was a family man who adored his children. He loved, respected and treasured his mother and his siblings, especially his sisters. He was forgiving, thoughtful, loving, loyal and funny. He loved being around his family and friends, telling jokes, lying and making everyone around him smile and laugh. His beautiful smile and crazy laugh will be missed by all who knew him. We were not ready, but God said it was your time.

On Wednesday, September 12, 2018, Deviontae joined the love of his life, his grandmother, “Ma” as he called her, Vannessa Turner and newborn nephew, Baby Antonio Jameel Banks; his friends, the twins, Brandon and Cameron Pennywell.

He leaves to forever cherish his memory his parents, Tara Turner and Jerome Banks, Sr.; two daughters, Aaliyah Zeitler, Laila Banks; the mothers of his children, LaShonda Hollman (his companion), and Jenna Zeitler; stepdaughter, Aniyah Ryan; grandfather, Willie Turner; four sisters, AunTisha Sherley, Ron’Niesha Johnson, Jasmine, Jayshajuna Banks; seven brothers, Tre’Von McAfee, Cole Austin, Jerome Jr., Javontea, Jeilon Banks, Brandon Motley, Equavis Moten; six nieces, Brielle Motley, Travaeh McAfee, Journey, Dallas, Syria Banks, Amora Pratt; nephew, Javontea Banks, Jr.; aunts, Arlinda Baldwin, Tameca (Tracy) Brown-Lawrence, Theresa Marshall, Tawanna McKinney; uncles, Willie Mills, Shaurome McKinney, James Porter; a host of other relatives and friends; special friends, Emanuel Daniels, Bruce Burton, Bando Brenner, Santino Vela, Donell Hendrix, Alonzo Andrews, Cortez Owens, Dequantay Sanders, Dewayne McKinney, Andre Jackson, Dwight Haynes, Justin Snow, Emilio Flores and Doyse Lee.
