Mary Alice Cork was born on March 12, 1943 in Louisville, Mississippi to L.T. Brooks and Luedean Jackson.
Mary accepted Christ at a very early age and remained a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Louisville, Mississippi. She was an extraordinary and wonderful person who loved to cook, sing and had a smile that would heat up a room. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, daughter and friend giving from her heart often and willingly. Mary always illuminated love and inspiration to all she came in contact with. She departed this life on Tuesday, October 23, 2012.
As time moves on into eternity the unforgettable memories of Mary shall remain in the hearts of her cherished loved ones. Loving husband and best friend, Lavern Kennedy Cork; mother, Luedean Jackson; eight children, Michael Kincaid, Darren (Duchell) Kincaid, Victor Mosley, Jamarrel Brandon, Arnetta Jackson, Keshia Odims, Trina Mosley and Tomeka Stephens; twenty-six grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; one loving sister, Brenda Johnson, mother-in-law, Doreather Cork; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Helen Cork-Robinson, Odie V. Cork (Doris), Charles (Kathy) Cork, Billy (Karen) Cork, Willie Dean Cork; many nieces, nephews, aunts, other relatives and friends including two special caregivers, Nancy Petzold and Cynthia Underwood.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, L.T. Brooks; three children, Ronald Mosley, Michelle Mosley, Terrell Mosley; one great grandson, Ryan Kincaid; one brother-in-law, Rev. Clevion Robinson.
