Matthews Oliver was born July 15, 1993 in Saginaw, Michigan to Claude Moore and the late Hattie Oliver. For many years, he and his mother were members at New Beginnings Life Changing Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Otis Dickens. He attended Buena Vista Public Schools before beginning his career repairing cars. Matthews was an amazing mechanic. He studied cars and had the ability to take them apart and put them back together. He was employed by Matthews Car Clinic for many years. Not only did he repair cars but he was also a gifted landscaper. Working with his hands was his passion and he excelled at everything he put his hands and mind to. He had the Midas Touch. Matthews was a funny guy. He was always joking and laughing, making his family and friends smile. He was a joy to be around and will truly be missed.
On Saturday, June 2, 2018, Matthews transitioned from his earthly home to his heavenly home, where he joined his mother, Hattie Oliver, who preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory father, Claude Moore; son, Zy’Aire Matthews Myking Oliver; four sisters, Claudia Darby, Denise Meyers, Tracy Lee Oliver, Octavia Oliver; one brother, Lacy Lee Oliver; three stepbrothers, Matthew Dickerson, Ar’Monni Washington, Ammario Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
