Pearlie Foreman (Lansing)

February 1, 1947 — January 1, 2022

Pearlie “Pearl” Bee Foreman was born in Forrest City, Arkansas on February 1, 1947, at St. Francis Hospital to Ora and Luther “Luke” Burton. She professed her faith in Christ and was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ at a young age. She graduated from Forrest City High School. Pearl moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1968 where she resided for the rest of her life. She attended Lansing Community College and became a certified patient care technician. Pearl retired from Sparrow Hospital after 20 years of service. Pearl earned the respect of her coworkers and many of the doctors and nurses she worked with over the years because of the excellent care she gave to each patient. Several patients and their families sent cards with complimentary remarks about the excellent care and compassion she demonstrated to them. She was affectionately called “Momma Pearl". Pearl also worked at a Regency-Lansing West rehabilitation center. She enjoyed the camaraderie and kindness of her co-workers.

Pearl was preceded in death by her parents Ora and Luke. Pearl made her transition from this life at the age of 74, on January 1, 2022. Left to cherish her loving memory are her five children: Doris “Ann” (Donny), Art (Ellen), Katherine, Tisha, and Tommy. She will be lovingly remembered by her six grandchildren: Amisha (Joe), AJ, III, Altwan, Kapree, Tosha, LaKisha, Zamuel, Miles, Sydney, and Addison. Affectionately remembered by her great-grandchildren: Jurnee, Josiah, Justice, Jonah, Miyah, Amir, Messiah, Angel, Jayde, Nolan, and Noah. Pearl leaves 5 sisters and one brother to treasure her memory along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Thank you to Pastor Duncan and the entire Lansing COGIC Church Family. Due to the pandemic, the Homegoing service will be private and for immediate family only, which is by invitation only. In lieu of flowers, the Foreman Family would like donations to be sent to the Greater Lansing Food Bank or Tri-County of Aging Meals on Wheels in the memory of our wonderful mother.
