Mrs. Agnes McArn, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at Lake Pointe Medical Center. Age 77 years. Agnes was born March 17, 1933 in Aberdeen, Mississippi to
Margaret and D. Franks Sr.
Agnes met and married the love of her life of 31 years, Stanley C. McArn. She united with Greater Coleman Temple C.O.G.I.C under the leadership of Superintendent H.J. Coleman Sr. She was a retired supervisor from Vlasic Foods.
She leaves to cherish her memory 4 daughters, Daphne McCoy, Deborah Walker, Gwyn (Sam) Harris, Brenda (James) Oakry Jr.; 6 step-children; 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; sister, Emma Walker; brother, Jimmie Franks; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to Supt. H.J. Coleman Jr. and the Greater Coleman Temple C.O.G.I.C family and Lake Pointe Medical Center and Golden Gate Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley McArn; son, Simmye Franks Sr.; parents, Margaret and D. Franks; sister, Nanie Sue Shaw.
