Mr. Alan Mark Garrett passed away Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 54 years. He was born May 13, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan to Annie Mae and Nathaniel Garrett.
Alan attended Saginaw Public Schools. He enjoyed helping friends and family with yard work. He loved spending quality time with his family. His grandchildren were the apple of his eyes. Alan was a loving man who always wanted a kiss and hug every time he saw you. He enjoyed his daily visits to First Ward Community Center.
He leaves to cherish his memory one son, DeMarco Beavers, Atlanta, Georgia; four grandchildren, DeMarco Beavers II, Saginaw, Michigan, DeMarkus Beavers, Petersburg, Virginia, Shanell Beavers, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Brooklyn Beavers, Houston, Texas; one sister, Barbara Jean Williams; one brother, Grant William Garrett; two special nephews, DeAnthony Harrell and Anthony Gary; one aunt, Blanche Williams; many other relatives and friends including special friends Samuel Gipson Bo, Carletta Thompson, Tameka Jones, Elaine Jones, Raceille Brooks, Sylvia Barnes.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Mae and Nathaniel Garrett; two brothers, Anthony Gary, James Garrett.
