Our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Mr. Alan G. Wilcoxon departed this life on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at St. Marys Of Michigan Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Age 62 years. He was born February 1, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan to William and Mattie Wilcoxon.
Alan attended Saginaw Public Schools obtaining his GED. He was employed by Walgreens as an assistant manager for many years. Alan was a member of Deliverance Church of Christ in Pontiac, Michigan where he served on the usher board for many years until returning to Saginaw when his health declined. He enjoyed spending time with his family, watching old westerns and playing cards.
Alan leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Sheila Curry, LaKeshia Box; eight grandchildren, Ashley, Diquiesha Curry, Kevin Champion Jr., Rico, DeAlan Watson, Derrick, Stephon Box, LaKaira Peterson; three great-grandchildren, Jayla Curry, Kaniah, Kamariya Champion; one devoted brother, Theotis (Teresa) Wilcoxon; one niece, Tanisha Wilcoxon; one nephew, Theotis (TaKeshia) Essex; great-niece and nephews, Theondra Essex, Tavaris Wilcoxon and Tyler Essex; one god-daughter, Mona Box; nine cousins, Mildred Braddock, Jeanette, Esther and Charles Freeman, Anita Louis, David (Peggy) Louis, Dennis Poindexter, Albert Rivers, including special cousins, Nora Louis and Dexter Poindexter; many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mattie Wilcoxon, one sister Aneise Dillard.
