Albert Burton

Our beloved brother, father, and grandfather, Albert Junior Burton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the age of 48 years. Albert was born on October 15, 1974, in Saginaw Michigan, to Abbott and Diane Burton.

Albert grew up surrounded by his enormous family. He was a passionate, caring, and loving man who was authentically and sincerely there for his family because they mattered to him. Al loved to cook and cater to his family. He will be deeply missed.

Albert enjoyed life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He never allowed his illness to affect his spirit and enjoyed many strenuous activities. He had a passion for classic old-school cars and a special love for his dogs. Albert enjoyed music (very loud music). His hobbies included playing chess, traveling, and fishing. Al had the heart of a warrior and was a protector. Failing was never an option for him. Prayer was his main defense against any obstacles in his life.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his fiancée, Cassandra Wolford, Davison, Michigan; son, Albert Burton III; daughter, Sabina Maldonado; grandson, Caleb Burton; granddaughter, Mylecia King, all of Saginaw, Michigan; six sisters, Virginia (Vernon) Irwin, Lakishna Burton, Catrina Burton, Demetrice (Jeremy) Casey, Erica (Stephen) Blair, and Veronica Burton, all of Saginaw, Michigan; three brothers: Kory Burton, Tory Burton and Staci Lincoln, all of Saginaw, Michigan; a host of adored aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; special close friends, Solomon “Paul” Davis and Jamaquis Jones; special people close to his heart, Jayden Wolford and Akeelah Burton.

Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his parents, Abbott and Diane Burton; grandparents, Jake and Lillian Holmes, Junior (Ruby) Smith, and Lucille Sutton; and sister, Tomico Jones.
