Albert Johnson

July 23, 1936 — February 29, 2012

Mr. Albert Dobison Johnson (A.D.) passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at St.Marys of Michigan Medical Center. Age 75 years. He was born July 23, 1936 in Cottonport, Louisiana to Oscar and Gertrude Johnson.
He was a member of United Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Brown. Albert worked for the Saginaw Board of Education for over 40 years. He worked in a position that he took great pride in. He was a member of the United States Bowling Congress for over 30 years. He loved bowling, hunting and fishing. Alberts passion was baseball. He was an avid baseball player in his youth. Albert will be truly missed by his family. Rest in peace Big Bro.
He leaves to cherish his memory four daughters, Evelyn (Garrett) Preme, Dr. Michelle Johnson, Sarah (Mark) Eldred, Kathy (Kenny) Watkins; two sons, Albert Johnson Jr., Anthony (Sherry) Johnson; many grandchildren; four sisters, Mammie Ellen Jones, Eula Mae Hatter, Margaret Johnson, Betty (Ahmad) Hasan; two brothers, Rollin Glen Johnson Sr., Collin Lynn Johnson Sr.; a special god-daughter, Bobbie Weems; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including special friends Willie Hill Sr. (Shotgun), Willie Bandy and Curtis Riggins.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Gertrude Johnson; four brothers, Cariton Johnson, Oscar Johnson Jr., Austin Johnson, Earl Johnson; one sister-in-law, Agatha Johnson; one brother-in-law, Earnest Hatter.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of St. Marys of Michigan Medical Center, Janis Pack, Annie Jackson, friends and family for their heartfelt condolences.
