Deacon Albert Moore departed this life on February 28, 2014 at the age of 57 years. He was born on October 12, 1956 in Hermondale, Missouri. Albert was the fifth of eleven children born to Carrie May and Will Ellis Moore. The family moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1970. Albert graduated from Sexton High School and received an Associates Degree in Automotive Technology from Lansing Community College. He was employed for 35 years by the state of Michigan initially as a park ranger at Sleepy Hollow State Park and then for the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, Workers Compensation Agency. Albert accepted Christ at an early age in Missouri and in 1977 became a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Lansing. Albert was faithful to his calling as deacon, usher, teacher of Sunday school and bible study and a member of the Heralds of Faith choir. Albert loved attending church and celebrating Gods goodness with his family and friends. Other than church, Alberts greatest loves were his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings and friends. His favorite past times were fishing, bowling, softball, cooking and traveling. He spent his last days surrounded by family and friends. He leaves to forever treasure his memory his loving wife of 33 years, Theresa Virginia; two sons Albert Jr. (Brittany) and Justin of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren, Ezykiel Moore, Tzimari Moore, Akira Green, Arielle Green and Xavier Moore; six sisters, Dortha (Phillip) Smith, LaVonne Thomas, Lucille (Alex) Jones, Felecia (Bob) Underhill, Marguerite (Bruce) Fletcher, Winifred (Tyrone) Lawrence; three brothers, Reverend Will E. Moore Jr., Nathaniel (Francis) Moore, Sammy Moore; sister-in-law, LaVerne Henderson; two brothers-in-law Fletcher Trainor and Leslie Dickson; his godmother, Marion Scott; a special niece, Diana Horton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carrie May and Will Ellis Moore, mother-in-law, Doris Allen, sister, Will Ella Trainor and two brothers-in-law, Don Allen and Eddie Thomas.
