Albert Orr of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Friday, July 15, 2011 at St.Joseph Mercy Oakland. Age 81 years. He was born October 21, 1929 in Trinity, Alabama to Willis and Carrie (Finney) Orr.
Albert moved to Saginaw in 1962 from Chattanooga, TN. He retired from Grey Iron Foundry after 30 years of service. He was a veteran of he United States Army, having served in the Korean War.
He enjoyed playing cards, fishing and especially spending time with his buddies at the Marie E. Davis Senior Center and McDonalds Restaurant on Holland Avenue.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Mattie B. Orr of Saginaw; seven step-children; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ollie Thirkill and Hennretta Jones both of Chattanooga, TN; many nieces and nephews, spanning three generations; special friends, James Tinsley, David McDaniels and David Warren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Carrie Orr; four brothers, Wallace , Willis Jr., Luther and Willie B. Orr. The family would like to express special thanks to Paradise Funeral Chapel.
