Mrs. Alfreda Henry was born February 1, 1948 in Judsonia, Arkansas to Charles and Bernice (Johnson) Miller. She peacefully transitioned on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the age of 71 years.
When Alfreda was five, her family settled in Saginaw, Michigan. She learned to fish and it became a hobby of hers. She enjoyed the feel of the water and calming nature of being outdoors. Fishing taught her patience and provided food for her family.
Alfreda also enjoyed playing cards and watching game shows. She was a family-oriented woman who loved her sons tremendously and cherished her time with her grandchildren. She was always loving, caring and nurturing. She was well-respected, well-loved and will be truly missed.
Alfreda was preceded in death by her husband, Ezra Henry; parents, Charles and Bernice Miller; brother, Charles Haygood.
She leaves to remember her fondly two sons, Marcus (Jamie), Michael Horn; grandchildren, Michael Polk, Karlee, Kane, Kuriel Wendling, Tavion, Breanna, Aareonna Horn; great-granddaughter, Faith Polk; sister, Jean (Ritchard) Bland; brothers, Richard Banks, Kenny Ray (Deborah) Madison, Clinton Miller; niece, Tracie Collins; nephews, Terence and Thomas Bland; a host of other relatives and friends, including special friend Thelma Horn.
The family would like to express special thanks to all the medical staff at Covenant Cooper Healthcare 3rd Floor ICU, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
