Alicia Gwili Walker (Lansing)

Ms. Alicia Gwili Walker passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 in Lansing, Michigan. Age 45 years. She was born May 23, 1974 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Michael Walker and Debra Walker.

Alicia was a very vibrant creative person who lived a very colorful life filled with lots of family and friends who loved her very much. Alicia loved and loved hard. She was our Marilyn Monroe. She was a quick-witted problem solver that was on full display when she attended Lansing Community College where she studied Criminal Justice. Alicia was a woman of many talents. She had an eye for photography and design. She loved listening to all kinds of music and was a great cook. Alicia loved being a mother, big sister, aunt, and grandmother. She loved her children with every heartbeat and always told them, “I love you to the moon and back.”

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted family; 4 daughters, Samara Davis, Sierra Davis, Kylie Walker, and Brianna Truman-Parker; father, Michael Walker and mother, Debra Walker; grandmother, Marilyn Ellena; sister, Rachell Snead; brother, Jason Walker. Alicia was very close to several of her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 nephews, Devon Glasscoe and Kareem Johnson.
