Alizlee Haywood, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great-grandmother and friend went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2019 at the age of 73 years. She was born November 20, 1945 to Williemae Summers and Alvie Lee Pugh.
Alizlee was a wonderful homemaker. She was a seamstress, caterer and hairdresser. She made her presence known in the community by advocating for welfare rights and was a part of the grandparent support group. As a long-time member of Burke Memorial Church of Nazarene, she served on the Mother’s Board and Usher Board. She was also an active member of Jehovah’s Witness.
Seventy-three years was not enough for us but without a doubt, Alizlee left us a legacy of wisdom, love and compassion that showed in everything she did for her family.

She leaves to cherish her memory a loving companion, Louis Western Knuckles; four daughters, Georgia Burks, Azzielee Haywood, Gale (Travor) Ferrell, Williemae (Reginald) Bond; son, Gilliam (Felecia) Haywood; grandchildren, Danessa Whittington, Darnisha Haywood, Cintaria Bond, Reginald Bond, Jr., LaTevia Bond, Rolanda Montgomery, Perrish Haywood, Gilliam Haywood IV, Tierra Haywood, Dominique Haywood, Jamila Terrell, Jarika Terrell, Trevor Ferrell, Jr., Roniesha Ferrell, Faye Ferrell; forty-two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Maxine Tillman, Gloria Dawson; brothers, Arthur Porter, AV Pugh, Herman Pugh; thirty nieces, including special nieces Sherri Bowman, Daphany, Reola Irish; thirty-five nephews, including special nephews Gregory Holmes, Tommy Wilson, Jackie McCoy; special cousins, Bobby Wells, Sandra Wells, Mae Frances Austin; sister-in-law, Fannie Miles; many other relatives and friends, including special friends Teresa Wicker and Grace Sparks.
