Today we rejoice in the knowledge that Mrs. Alma Marie Clark peacefully transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Eaton Community Palliative Care in Charlotte, Michigan at the age of 71 years. She was born on June 18, 1944 in Lansing, Michigan to Manuel and Frankie Marie (Looney) Davis. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Alma, a life-long resident of Lansing, Michigan, was a faithful member of Tithe Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Ben Wade, where she served diligently in many church ministries, such as Financial Secretary, Vacation Bible School Director, Sunday School Teacher and Superintendent, the Womens Choir, and Youth Director. In her many years of ministry service, she also was Director of Chain Lake Youth for both the local and state departments. At Union Missionary Baptist Church, Alma served as the Youth Director, sang in the Gospel Choir, and member of the Red Circle Girls. At New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, the ministries she served in were Vacation Bible School, Financial Secretary and youth programs. Alma worked at Michigan State Universitys Clinical Center as a laboratory technician. She loved reading, travel, kids and family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Jennifer Clark; 2 grandchildren, Jenna and Jasmine Clark; 5 brothers, Otis, Manuel (Carolyn), Robert and Jodie (Dorie), all of Lansing, Michigan, Christopher, Nashville, Tennessee; aunt, Maudie Rogers; Margaret, of Lansing, and Jean Lemon, Baton Rouge, Louisiana; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Christine Holman, Terrie Fore-Jefferson and Lena Mack.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Frankie Marie (Looney) Davis; husband, JC Clark; brothers, Alonzo Davis and Eric Davis.
