Alonso Morales Rivera

Mr. Alonso Rivera peacefully transitioned into his eternal heavenly rest on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at his residence. Age 76 years. He was born on March 21, 1941 in Morovis, Puerto Rico to Juan Batista Morales and Ramona Diaz Rivera.

Alonso resided in Saginaw, Michigan. He gave his life to Christ a young age and was a very faithful and committed member of his church, Iglesia de Dios Rey de Reyes, 2422 Fordney Street, in Saginaw, Michigan. Mr. Rivera served as a Deacon at his church for many years. He enjoyed watching wrestling with his wife and grandchildren. Alonso was a faithful employee at General Motors (Central Foundry Division Saginaw Malleable Iron Foundry) before retiring after 32 years of faithful service. He was also a member of UAW Local 668. Alonso was a hardworking man who loved God and his family. He was very committed to God, his family and friends. Mr. Rivera touched many lives with his presence and love. He will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Patricia Guzman Rivera; two sons, Diego (Lilia) Morales, and Jose Morales; one daughter, Nancy Morales Braun, six step-children, Luis (Michelle Matowski) Cavazos, Daniel Cavazos, Concepcion Gomez, Salvador Gomez, Esther Fulgencio and Ray Martinez; sixteen loving grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ruben (Navidad) Morales and Oscar (Edith) Morales; two sisters, Carmen (Luis) Kurs and Anna Lopez; many nieces and nephews; three very special and dear friends, Isaac and Maria Garcia and Jorge Rodriguez.

Alonso was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Batista Morales and Ramona Diaz Rivera, and two brothers, Victor Morales and Jose Morales.
