Alonzo D Nickleberry

II Timothy 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.
Our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, made his transition from his earthly house to be present with the Lord, on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta, Ga., after a short illness. Alonzo Dale Nickleberry, age 49 years was born Oct 31, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan, son of the late Brenda Nickleberry and Aaron Arthur, Jr.
He was a member of Gods Harvest Center Church. He attended Saginaw High School and proudly served in the United States Navy.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Shirley Rae Grimmett Nickleberry; children, Shanika Coleman, Alonzo Nickleberry, Jr., Zoretta Nickleberry, and Jamar Damarco Williams; step- children Davonnda (Tracy) Thomas and Melvin (Rachel) Johnson; sisters and brothers: Anita Arthur, Aretha (Don) Anderson, Autrola Arthur, all of Atlanta, Donald Ray Watts, Alabama; Michael (Erica) Cross, Eleanore Williams Arthur, Jody George, and Stacey George, all of Flint, Torry (Constance) George, Niya Wilkes, ShomionaDuda Johnson, Buqueonia Red Johnson, Aaron Man Man Arthur, Rhema Arthur, Latramese Tracy Gaddis, Sentaria Cindy Johnson, all of Saginaw; a special step-mother, Debra George; uncles and aunts, Greg (Joan) Nickleberry, Sam (Elma) Arthur, Susie (Albert) Turnbull, Betty (Evander) Scott, Kevin (Sandra) Arthur, Rosalee (Jerry) Hunter, all of Saginaw; Gail (David) Hysten, Topeka, KS, Geraldine Wakefield, Detroit. He will be truly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, far too many to name.
Alonzo was preceded in death by his sister, Latina Arthur. He was deeply loved by all his family and he loved them all deeply in return. His passing will leave a huge hole in the lives of all that knew him.
