Mrs. Alvera Price-King passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison . Age 68 years. She was born September 21, 1943 in Birmingham, Alabama to Ernest Jr. and Thelma Storrs.
Alvera was a resident of Bay City, MI formerly of Saginaw, MI. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E Church where she was a member of the Lay Organization and Women United. She attended Mt. Nebo Baptist Missionary Church regularly with her husband until her illness. She was employed by the Costume Warehouse in Essexville, MI as a seamstress for several years. Alvera was a member of the Progressive Womens Club. She loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Corneilus (Jack) King, Bay City, MI; three daughters, Thressa (Larry) Price-White, Virginia Beach, VA, Leticia M. Price,
Verlardner R. Price both of Saginaw, MI; three step-daughters, Gwendolyn (Jamie) Gray-Watts, Bay City, MI, Andrea (Robert) Clipper, Las Vegas, NV, Bessie Hodder, Ypsilanti, MI; six grandchildren, Chandra White, Shuttney Winchester, Khadija Lard, Keterrian Price, Drashonna Keels, all of Saginaw, MI, Letrai White, Virginia Beach, VA; three great grandchildren, Deaune and Davon Jackson, Quinterrion Jones; niece, Robin Hunter, Arlington, TX; nephew, Robert Hunter; a special aunt, Rita Lawrence; cousins, John Walker, Aurora, IL, John C. Seay, South Carolina, brother-in-law, Audrian (Margaret) King, Mesquite, TX; God-mother, Novella Goss, South Bend, IN; God-daughter, Karen Winchester-Gardner; God-son, Leonard Williams II; many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Jr. and Thelma Storrs; two grandchildren, Imani White and Joseph Winchester III.
