Alvin Mckinley Howell

Mr. Alvin McKinley Howell, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at his residence in Goodyear, Arizona. Age 60 years.
Alvin McKinley Howell was born on January 19, 1954 in Saginaw, Michigan to Quincy L. and Magnolia P. Howell. He was the youngest of the couples six children and grew up very close to some of his nieces and nephew as they were close in age. He was known as "Kenny" to his close friends and family, and Papa, to his co-workers at Denny's Restaurant in Phoenix, Arizona where he had worked the last 12 years. Kenny moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2001 to be closer to his children. He was a graduate of Buena Vista High School in Saginaw, Michigan and was a veteran of the United States Army. Growing up, Alvin was very active in sports and enjoyed the outdoors. He was an easy going, family-oriented man who always put his childrens needs first. Kenny will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife , Fanny Mae Howell; two daughters, Stacy Howell of Goodyear, Arizona and Tiffany Eckles of Saginaw, Michigan; stepchildren, Lillie Eckles of Madison, Florida and Stephanie Eckles of Saginaw, Michigan; three siblings, Stanley W. Howell (Junell), Alc'ee Wilson (Tommie) of Saginaw, Michigan; Rev Lillian McKinney of Tupelo, Mississippi; grandchildren, Felicia Smith, Brianna and Robert Manuel; one great-grandchild, De Mari James Wright; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Quincy L. and Magnolia P. Howell; sister, June Terrie Davis; brother, Darrell Lynn Howell, son, Andres Starr Howell and nephew, Stanley W. Howell II.
