Our beloved mother, sister, aunt and friend, Amanda Ruth Burns Pee-Wee accepted her invitation to Heaven on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan with her family by her side. She was born in Saginaw, Michigan on September 11, 1957 to the late Eddie and Beulah Hardy.
Amanda was employed by Volunteers of America and was known for bringing smiles to all she came in contact with. Her hobbies include baking, sewing, craft and traveling to Florida.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her loving fiance, John Hampton; her children, Stepheon (Rebekka) Hardy, Arneisha Hardy, Matthew and Mariah Burns, April and Brian Odom and Terrance Hardy Odom; her grandchildren, James, Jansen, Jordan, Jaylen, Jayden, DeLance, Camry, Khalil, Tierney, Marciano, Ayden and Victoria; her siblings which includes five sisters, Avis, Elaine and Leathia Hardy-Hodge, Edwina (James) Keyser and Karen Ward; two brothers, Edward (Turkessa) Hardy and Kyle Hardy; her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, Jason (Tracy) Hoard, Deanna (Dave) Reed, Jocelyn, Bobby, Jamerson, Malcolm, Jasmine, Courtney (Justin Mony), Lloyd, Leland, Denzel, Andrea, Joseph, Bradford, Tiana, Robert, Milyra, Kyla, Kyle and Moases; a special nephew, Doris Earl Hardy Tweet who predeceased her; the Ferguson and Murray families; many other relative and friends.
The family wishes to express special thanks to the Sparrow Oncology Department, Hospice House of Mid-Michigan and her 2nd family Volunteers of America for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
