Ameal Johnson passed away Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Heartland Healthcare. Age 56 years. He was born September 10, 1956 in Saginaw, Michigan to Reverend Tom Sr. and Velma Johnson.
He was a loving and devoted son and brother. He spent time working as a care helper for the elderly. Ameal was especially fond of lots of talent. He was one of 3rd guitar player. Ameal enjoyed laughing for endless hours. Singer, talent shows, dancing skills for winning trophy. He was a member of Bibleway Church of God in Christ in Saginaw, Michigan under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Johnson and Reverend Tom Johnson Sr. The chain will link again.
He leaves to cherish his memory eight sisters, Bernadine (Bobby) Jelks, Olivia (Danny) Dottery, Loretta Johnson, Mildred Hicks, Barbara Richards, Chicago, Illinois, Virgil Jeanette Cotton, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Cherrylean (Superintendent Jerry) Givens, Grand Blanc, Michigan , Ina (Henry) Bynum, Bay City, Michigan; two brothers, Pastor Samuel (Phyllis) Johnson, Grand Blanc, Michigan, Jerry (Bobbie) Johnson, Mt Pleasant, Michigan; a very special sister-in-law, Ola Mae Johnson; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special friend, Valerie Woods.
Ameal was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Tom Sr. and Velma Johnson; sister, Rosemarie Lewis, six brothers, Rollie, Wendell, Tom Jr., Melvin, Terry and Lyndon.
The family of Ameal Johnson AJ are most grateful for your prayers, visits, calls and every act of your kindness. It has given us strength and inspiration for facing this hour. Special thanks to Valerie Wood, Hollells Heartland Healthcare, Heartland Hospice and the staff of Covenant Cooper 7th floor ICU.
