Andrew Joe, Iii "Bookie"

Mr. Andrew Joe, III “Bookie,” a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, departed this earthly life on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at the age of 40 years. He was born on January 27, 1983, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Andrew Joe, Jr., and Patricia Joe.

Bookie was raised in Saginaw, Michigan, where he grew up loving his family and friends. He was one of a kind. Bookie loved being around his peers and family, loved to enjoy life and live in the moment of life. He enjoyed communicating and sharing the wisdom he gained through life experienced by his parents and peers. Bookie loved to share love in many forms of his own expression including in the movement of dance, fashion, and his heart. Bookie was a brother, friend, confidant, and a loving soul. He especially loved his children, nieces and nephews, who will miss him greatly.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his children Monaeja Joe, Saginaw, Michigan, Andrew Joe IV, Atlanta, Georgia, A 'Deleah Mi’linda Rivera, San Antonio, Texas, My‘Angel Rivera, Saginaw, Michigan. He also leaves his mother, Patricia Joe, Saginaw, Michigan; siblings, Rose (Darnell Thomas) Arlington, Texas, Janetta Joe, Letia (Barnes) Reynolds, Saginaw, Michigan, LaShonda (James) Bennett, Manhattan, Kansas, Matthew (Jeana) Joe, Arlington, Texas, Elizabeth Joe, Oakland, California, and Cherish Joe, Madrid, Spain. Bookie leaves nieces and nephews, Alisha, Chantera and Antwoine Moore all of Saginaw, Michigan, Barnes Reynolds, Jaleeyah, Jalee and Yohannis, Yoharis and James Bennett, IV of Manhattan, Kansas; Rhodashia Thomas, Dallas, Texas; grandson, Kar’Tier Ray; special cousins, Keesa Wicker, Tecorie Blackmon, and special friends, Skiry and Michelle Burns; many cousins, other relatives and friends.

Andrew Joe III was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Joe Jr.; nephew, Shaki Essex and grandparents, Levi and Dorothy Essex, David and Janie Smith.
