Andrew Joe, Jr.

Mr. Andrew Joe, Jr. our beloved and caring husband, father, friend, brother, uncle, nephew and grandfather, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at his residence. Age 60 years. He was born on January 16, 1958 in Blytheville, Arkansas to David and Janie Mae Smith.

Andrew resided in Saginaw, Michigan with his loving wife, Patricia. He enjoyed a simple life filled with his family and friends, taking pleasure in collecting Native American artifacts, fishing, hunting, archery, and dancing with Pat. Andrew loved taking chances on winning. He was a member of Christ the Rock Apostolic Church. Andrew accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour at an early age. He loved God and put his faith and trust in Him. Andrew, a great, hard-working man, was a welder for over forty years. In his daily life, he was very passionate about educating others with his wisdom, especially his children. Most of all, Andrew was a devoted husband for over thirty-nine years. Brave, strong and wise like an eagle, Andrew now soars in Heaven.

He leaves to cherish loving memories his wife, Patricia Ann Joe; six daughters and two sons, Rose Essex (Darnell Thomas), Arlington, Texas, Janetta Joe, Caro, Michigan, Andrew Joe, III, Saginaw, Michigan, Letia (Barnes) Reynolds, Saginaw, Michigan, LaShonda (James) Bennett, Wahiawa, Hawaii, Matthew Joe, Arlington, Texas, Elizabeth Joe, Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Cherish Joe, Holland, Michigan; grandchildren Shaki Essex, Arlington, Texas, Alisha, Chantera and Antwoine Moore all of Saginaw, Michigan, Barnes Reynolds and Monaeja Joe, Saginaw, Michigan, Jaleeyah, Jalee and Yohannis Bennett and Andrew Joe IV; three sisters, Lula Mae Jones, Janie Hughes and Sarah Vaughn; four brothers, J.D. (Connie) Smith, Willie (Erinne) Smith, Harry (Geraldine) Joe, and Maurice Blakes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, David and Janie Smith; sisters, Mary Smith and Lorraine Green; brother, David Smith.
