Andrew Phillip Smith (Lansing)

Mr. Andrew Phillip Smith was called to his eternal Heavenly home by God on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the age of 64 years. He was born to the late Andrew and Dorothy (Jackmon) Smith on May 30, 1950 in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
Andrew professed Christ as his personal Savior at an early age. He was a hard, diligent worker who retired from General Motors Corporation in Lansing, Michigan. Andrews favorite scripture was Psalm 23. He also loved the songs, Marching Up To Zion and Jesus Loves Me.
He leaves to celebrate his legacy his wife of 42 years, Dortha Smith; three children, Veronica Davis, Brainard Davis and Rosanna Smith; four grandchildren, JauVon Glasscoe, Myles Davis, MilyiAna and Marcel Johnson, all of Lansing, Michigan; nine siblings, Carl Smith and Brenda (Otha) Robinson both of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Marshall (Charlotte) Smith and Jennifer Smith both Lansing, Michigan, Donna Smith of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Joseph (Rose) Smith of Richmond, Kentucky, Charles M. Smith of Lexington, Kentucky, Dennis (Victoria) Smith of Mascoutah, Illinois and Anna (Henry) Kenion of Nicholasville, Kentucky; two aunts, Naomi (Frances) Meads and Juanita White both of Nicholasville, Kentucky; one uncle, Danny Jackmon of Lansing, Michigan; several brothers and sisters-in law; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; many other relatives and friends including two dear and close friends of the family, Dudley Pete (aka Goldfinger) and Milton Vann, both of Lansing, Michigan.
Andrew was preceded in death by his brother Walter D. Smith of Nicholasville, Kentucky.
In accordance with Andrews wishes, cremation has taken place.
