Angela Catrice Smith (Lansing)

Ms. Angela Catrice Smith passed away Sunday, November 17, 2019 at her residence in Lansing, Michigan. Age 45 years. She was born June 4, 1974 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of Robert Lee Smith and Mary Grace Wade.

Angie was a resident of Lansing, Michigan. She attended J. W. Sexton High School and Mount Hope Church. Angie’s hobbies were listening to all kinds of music from Gospel to R&B soul to Rock & Roll. She loved the greats like Aretha Franklin (Whom everyone said she resembled) to Michael Jackson to DeBarge to George Michael, Mariah Carey, The Isley Brothers, the Clark Sisters and Clark Family, The Jets (whom we were blessed to hang out with every year) and so many more. Angie loved to laugh watching cartoons, the 3 Stooges, Golden Girls, Tyler Perry movies, sitcoms and Madea movies with her sisters. She was kind, sweet and very generous with giving, driving people all over Lansing and babysat all the time. Doctors said she would never ride a bike or drive a car. She miraculously proved them wrong on all accounts. Angie loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart, she loved children and babies.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her mother, Mary Grace Wade; 3 sisters, Janice Smith, Veronica Wade and Katrina Smith; 5 brothers, Barry Williams, Larry Wade, Mark Wade, William Tyler Wade, II, Derek Watts; 6 aunts, Lera Lee Holman, Frances Shankle, Jimmie St. Valentine, Betty Thompson, Willie Mae Simpson and Lois Faye Beavers; 3 uncles, Bill Beavers, Fred Cunningham and Roy Cunningham; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Smith, stepfather, William Tyler, grandparents, Aaron Metrue and Annie Mae Thompson, Suzie Pryor and James Smith; brothers, Maurice Williams, Mark Williams, Lowell Wade, Sr., Jesse Wade and Skip Williams.
