Angelena Carroll

Our beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend, Ms. Angelena Sue Carroll passed away Thursday, May 8, 2014 at University of Michigan Health System, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Age 47 years. She was born November 10, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan to Thomas W. Carroll and Lorna L. Freeman.
Angelena was a resident of Franklin, Kentucky. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Saginaw, Michigan. Angelena attended Valley Lutheran and Bridgeport High Schools. She obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Management at Mid-Continent University and a masters degree in Accounting at University of Phoenix. Angelena was an employee of Toyo Automotive Parts in Franklin, Kentucky. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and reading. Angelena was a loving, kind grandmother who was a great lover of animals. She loved life and her jubilant presence showed it. Gone but never forgotten, her presence will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Airman Christopher P. Manning, USN, stationed at NAS Pensacola, Florida, Kayla V. Manning of Aquinnah, Massachusetts and Kyle C. (Amber) Roper of Independence, Missouri; one grand-daughter, Kylee Rose, daughter of Kayla of Aquinnah, Massachusetts; her mother, Lorna Freeman; two sisters, Robin (Tom) Byers of Grand Blanc, Michigan and Jessica Spann of Frankenmuth, Michigan; two brothers, Reginald (Lisa) Carroll of Cleveland, Texas and Rick (Lisa) Morlik of Birch Run, Michigan; many other relatives and friends.
Angelena was preceded in death by one grand-daughter, Ariel Roper, grandmother, Elizabeth Merrill and her father, Thomas W. Carroll.
The family would like to express sincere appreciation to the doctors and staff and University of Michigan Health System Neurological ICU. A special thanks to Dr. Williamson, Dr. Rajajee and Mr. Baumann.
