July 27, 1953 — January 30, 2021

On Saturday January 30, 2021, Mrs. Angelisa Stewart made her transition to her heavenly home. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, on July 27, 1953 to Juanita Harvey-Buford. She was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan.

Angelisa was a graduate of Saginaw High School, “Class of 1971”. She worked in the medical field and enjoyed helping and caring for others. She married Leon Stewart, Jr. in 1987. She was a people person and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Angelisa loved to listen to the blues and she loved the outdoors. She was a sweetheart who always had a listening ear, and she will be missed dearly.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her two daughters, Tiffany Stewart, Saginaw, Michigan, Charlotte Wilson, Flint, Michigan; two sons, Marcus (Janise) Buckley, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Leonard (Shirley Kay) Stewart, Saginaw, Michigan; five brothers, Marvell (Connie) Harvey, Willie Harvey, Terry Callins, Frederick Harvey, all of Saginaw, Michigan, Tommy (Sharron) Harvey, Griffin, Georgia; four grandsons, Domonique Moultrie, Demetrius Buckley, Martez Buckley and Jamie Bell. Jr.; three granddaughters, Danielle Ford, Cortashia and Cortney Rice; one great-grandson, Bryson Buckley; one aunt, Mary Peevy; sister-in-law, Deborah Harvey; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including one special cousin, Paulette Johnson of Georgia and two special friends, Nathan “Nate” Merkerson and Linda Harness, both of Saginaw, Michigan.

Angelisa was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Stewart, Jr.; one daughter, Dionne Buckley; mother, Juanita Harvey-Buford; grandmother, Elizabeth Dillard; one sister, Mary Harvey; one brother, William “Butch” Harvey; one grandson, Marcus Buckley; one nephew, Frederick Jones-Harvey.

The family would like to express a special thanks to everyone that has and will continue to express their love and support, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel.
