Annette Gentry (Lansing)

Annette Gentry was born November 2, 1951, in Antione, Arkansas. The daughter of Graice Bell Beavers and Eddies Gentry, Sr. She passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, in Lansing, Michigan. Age 71 years.

Annette was born in Arkansas and graduated from Delight High School, she then relocated to Lansing, Michigan in 1969 to help her brother care for her beloved nieces and nephews. She was employed at Michigan Tubes and attended Holmes Road Church of Christ. In 1980, she gave birth to her “Big Baby” Jessica. Annette was a jokester and enjoyed many hobbies such as traveling, fishing, going to the casino, spending time with family, and she loved to cook. Some of her specialties included greens, chicken, smoked neck bones, and peanut butter cookies.

She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Jessica Williams; stepchildren, Angelettia Transou Sander and William Charles Transou; grandchildren, Cedric Maurice Wade and Catera Lynette Murry both of Lansing, Michigan; grandparents, Pearlene and Charles Beaves; sisters, Gloria (Troy) Avanato, Mary Louise (Leotis) Snowden, Maelene Gentry, and Marcella Johnson; brothers, Nathan (Michelle) Gentry, and Harold (Sharee) Gentry; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddies & Graice B. Gentry; sister, Maretta Collier-Gentry; and brothers, Eddies Jr., and Curtis Gentry.

The family would like to express special thanks to McLaren Hospice and Sandy Coleman. And to Mya Anderson Jones for all the love you showed my mother. I pray that everything you want and touch come to past. Love you, Mya.
