Mrs. Annie Bell was born Tuesday, February 23, 1943, in Lambert, Mississippi, the daughter of Stephen and Annie Bell Jones. Annie Bell was born the sixth child of ten. While growing up in the heart land of the south, Annie along with her siblings sharecropped in the cotton field with their parents. The Jones family believed that getting an education and to honor God was important. Annie Bell graduated from Aggie-Cultural High School in 1966 and then was motivated to attend Coahoma Community College located in Clarksdale Mississippi in her hometown where she earned her degree in General Education in 1968.

In 1969, Annie Bell moved to Saginaw, Michigan where she attended Bethlehem Temple Church in Flint under the pastoral leadership of the late Eld. BT Scott. Annie Bell was then baptized and then received the gift of the Holy Ghost. Annie Bell caught the attention of William B. Booker who was also a member of Bethlehem Temple Church. William and Annie were then married in 1972 and later transferred their membership to Bethlehem Temple Church of Saginaw under the pastoral leadership of Eld. Calvin Butler. Annie Bell passion for God motivated her to teach and to bring her 5 children in the way of God. Annie Bell was recognized as one who prays, sing old time gospel songs, and loved being in the presence of God. She loves shopping, baking and being around her children. Let’s not forget the collection of dolls and teddy bears which she had plenty.

Annie Bell joined New Generation Church of Saginaw under the pastoral leadership of Eld Mosby Clark and then Pastor Mary Allen where she served as Missionary Chairlady. Annie Bell then moved to San Jose, California where she could spend moments with her youngest son Theophilus “Kent”. She was so happy to get away from the cold and the snowy weather of Michigan. Annie joined New Mission Church under the leadership of Pastor Claudel Huey where she continued to serve and minister.  She also worked as a Home Health Care Assistant for many years and retired in 2017 right before moving back to Michigan in 2018. Upon moving back, Annie joined and became a member of Greater Bible-Way Temple Church under the pastoral leadership of Dist. Eld. James E. Manns where she was also well loved and respected. Annie Bell Booker peacefully transitioned Monday June 13, 2022 at home with her children by her side.
