Annie Drew (Clement) Smith

February 26, 1951 — October 31, 2020

Annie Drew (Clement) Smith went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Saginaw, Michigan at the age of 69 years. She was born February 26, 1951 in Caruthersville, Missouri to Frank Clement, Sr. and Mother Lilliam Holmes.

Annie attended Saginaw Public Schools. She committed her life to Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Joshua’s Way Ministries under the leadership of her son, Pastor Lerone Clement. Prior to her son accepting the call of Pastorate from God, Annie was a faithful member of Emmanuel Church of Deliverance under the leadership of Pastor Provis Carter.

Annie was best known for her warm personality and loving heart. She had genuine love for her family and God. Her soft-spoken voice and her affectionate smile would brighten the day of anyone blessed to be in her presence. Annie loved to write, read her bible, eat at her favorite eatery and listen to gospel music. She also loved to call her children to check on them daily.

Annie was preceded in death by one son, Tyrone Clement; granddaughter, Daronica Clement; parents, Frank Clement, Sr., Lillian (Jake) Holmes; grandparents, Joe and Beatrice Thomas; sister, Diane Burton; brother, Jerome Clement; aunts, Cora Webb, Vonice McAfee, Pecolia and Marvella Thomas; uncles, Joe, Eugene, and Louis Thomas, Taylor Webb; daughter-in-law, Shelia Clement.

Annie’s memory and legacy of love will live eternally through her loving sons, Pastor Lerone Clement, Lonnie Jr., Ronald and Donald Smith; granddaughters, Sharonndra, Tyesha, Damonica Clement, Lillian Smith; courageous grandsons, Trayvion, Donald Jr., Ronald Jr., Ashton, Avery and Armani Smith; two precious great-granddaughters, Tatyana and Ariah Clement; sisters, Lola Green, Elizabeth (Willie) Acklen, Deborah Holmes, Betty Holmes, Barbara (Aaron) Mitchell, Deidre (Roman) Johnson, Jennifer (Joe) Chappins; brothers, Frank Clement, Terry Holmes, Joe Holmes, Timothy Shorty; aunt, Dorothy (John) Moore; many nieces, nephews, cousins, dear loved ones and friends.
