Annie Gardner

May 6, 1961 — March 22, 2015

Mrs. Annie Lavonne Works-Gardner Bunny peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the age of 53 years. She was born May 6, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan to Jimmie and Mattie Allen Works.
Annie was employed with the Salvation Army before becoming owner of her own thrift shop in the late 80s. She was a member of New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R.E. Donald. Annie enjoyed spending time with family and friends, helping others and playing with little children. She loved to laugh and sing. Annie also enjoyed shopping for herself, her nieces and nephews, especially at Christmastime. She was very kind and considerate to others. Her presence will be truly missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Armond Gardner of Saginaw, Michigan; two grandchildren, Armontae and Amarianne Gardner; her mother, Pastor Mattie Lou Works of Saginaw, Michigan; three sisters, Valerie (Terry) Noble and Natalia (Delbert) Harris both of Saginaw, Michigan and Katheleen (Steadford) Samuels of Ajax, Ontario Canada; three brothers, Clinton Works, Terry Works and Charles (Targie) Works all of Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers-in-law, David Jr. (Debra) Gardner of Prattville, Alabama and Stanley Charles Robert of Colorado; a special aunt, Elizabeth Works-Perkins of Saginaw, Michigan; special nephews, Jimmie Parker and Terry L. Noble both of Saginaw, Michigan; special nieces, Lakisha Parker, Jasmine and Tierra Noble all of Saginaw, Michigan, Santana Moore of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Dorothy Moore of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michelle Kong of Scarborough, Ontario Canada, Terrilyn Smith of Ajax, Ontario Canada and Lyvera Works of Huntsville, Alabama; great niece, Starsterria Moore of Fayetteville, North Carolina; special cousins, Terrilyn Harris and Annie Ross both of Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including her special friends, Jessie Burt, Wilhelmina Ross, Linda Berry, Diane Hankins and Vivian Brown.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Damus Gardner, her daughter, Tesha Sharocca Gardner, father, Jimmie Lee Works, one brother, Jimmie Louis Works, one sister, Deborah Works-Campbell, nephew, Napoleon PoPo Works and one sister-in-law, Patricia Parker-Works.
The family wishes to express special thanks to everyone who offered kind words, condolences and prayers.
