Annie (Lansing) Smith

Ann (Annie) L. Smith went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at McLaren Hospital in Lansing, Michigan. Age 79 years. On December 6, 1937, God saw fit to bless the world with a beautiful baby girl named Annie, born to Bennie and Mamie Crump in Dublin, Mississippi.
Annie accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age at Elms Groove Baptist Church in Mississippi.
Annie moved to Lansing, Michigan in 1962, where she worked a Fisher Body and finished her working career at Michigan State University in 1989.
Annie loved to watch sports, baseball and tennis being her favorites. She was a very discrete and private person whom loved to pamper herself. She was always known for her feistiness and never being scared to say whats on her mind. She had an undying love for her family, especially for one special grandson, Timmie Smith, Jr.
Annie leaves to cherish her wonderful memories her child Timmie (Katina) Smith, Sr. Lansing, Michigan; four siblings, Eddie Crump, Grand Rapids, Michigan, Willie (Samella) Crump, Tutwiler, Mississippi, Rubin (Cora) Crump and Eunice Stepp both of Lansing, Michigan; three grandchildren: Timmie Smith, Jr., Michael and Yaazmin Scott and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including special friend, Annie Knight.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years, Willie Smith; five siblings, M.L. Crump, Ledora Patterson, Bennie Crump, Jr., Johnnie Crump and J.T. Crump.
