Annie Lue Gertha Warren

A beautiful life is the fruit of a beautiful character. Annie "Lue" lived a beautiful life and was loved by many. At the age of 83 years, Annie Lue Gertha Warren left this earthly life to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Close to Home Assisted Living Center in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born on September 10, 1941, in Florence, Alabama (Colbert County) to Emmett Meredith and Gertha Lee Madden.

Lue was a faithful member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She was retired from the Saginaw Board of Education, having worked in middle schools. Lue loved music, sports, and hosting her close friends and family for dinner and sharing during the holidays.

Annie Lue's memory will forever be cherished by one daughter, Mary (George) Cooper; four sons, Dennis (Brenda) Meredith, Crable Warren Jr. (Tammy), Emmitt (Sherry) Warren, and Tony Warren; grandchildren: Jeremiah "JJ," Josh and Daniel James, Irene and Lauren Cooper, Denesha (Raphael) Coleman, Nakeia (Ryan) Bryson, Jennae Johnson, Shayla Campbell, Christopher (Amanda) Warren, Kevin (Mikaya) Warren, and Stephanie Warren; many great-grandchildren nephews and nieces; one brother, Charles (Leona) Bailey; one cousin, Willie Hampton "Pee Wee, and a close friend, Walt "Chop Chop."

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertha Lee Madden and Emmett Meredith; two sons, Clayton Meredith, and Willie "Bird Eye" Meredith; one daughter, Cassandra James; one grandson, Donte' Brown; two brothers, Emmett and Richard Meredith; one sister-in-law who was also a close friend, Donna Meredith; close friend, Earsalene O'Neal; and Crable Warren, Sr.
