Anthony “Tone” Barnes was born on February 9, 1974, in Saginaw Michigan to Hannah Barnes Dawson. Tone passed away on June 27th, 2022, in
Saginaw Michigan.

Tone married his love, 

Jessica Barnes, on October 9th, 2009. Together they spent the last few years building up their home here in Saginaw, and enjoying time spent with many family, friends, children and grandchildren. Tone Worked for Fritz Enterprise of Flint along with his Uncle Charles. Tone, being the firstborn grandson, was the blueprint we all followed. Tone looked up to his Grandfather, James, and his Uncle, Charles and attributes them to his love of working on cars and showing him how to be a man for his family. Tone shared a very special bond with his brother, Curtis and enjoyed sharing knowledge that was passed down to him and being there for him.Tone was spiritual, he was a believer in Christ, and he enjoyed research and learning and was always enthused to tell you about his new found knowledge. Tone was hardworking, a protector, a mentor and was always there to listen without judgment. Tone had a Passion for rebuilding cars, music and football, and has always been a true Detroit Lions fan. Tone was Loyal, kind, sincere and genuine. The women in his life flocked to him, he was our big overprotective teddy bear. Tone is a true example of love and has left a legacy of love in our hearts. 

Anthony leaves to cherish his memory: 

Wife: Jessica Barnes. Mother and Stepfather: Hannah/Robert Dawson. Mother-in-Law: Jill Curley. Father-in-Law: Dave Curley. 

2 Sisters: Jessica Thomas and Elizabeth Barnes. 

3 Brothers: Curtis Barnes, Emmanuel Hall and Terrence Thomas. Brother-in-Law: David Curley. 

3 Aunts: Mary Etta Barnes, Gloria/Tim Stark, and Patricia Barnes.
5 Uncles: Eddie, Charles, Woodrow, Willie Earl and Randolph Barnes.
4 Daughters: Abril, Arrianna, and Avianna Rivera and Toriana/Dante Storch.
10 sons: Sean Curley, Carlos Gonzales, Antonio Rivera, Andres Gonzales, Aariez Rivera, Marcelino Gonzales, Curtis and Matthew Thurlow, Jalen and Zaine Craig.
14 Grandchildren: Javier, Brinycia, Carlos Jr, Weston, Everlee, Kenslee, Scarlet, Aliviah, Jaden, Alaina, Amara, Sasha, Charles Jr., Stellianna

12 Nieces: Trinity Thomas, Ceria and Raven Barnes, Caiyah Barnes, Aniyah and Laniyah Barnes, Tiara Thomas, Kelis Barnes, Dallis White Felicity Hall, Chayla and Amaria Lee;
10 Nephews: Terrence Thomas Jr, Lemarion Barnes, Dawson Hall, Travis Thomas, James Pearson, Curtis “Baby Cool” Barnes Jr, Blake, Amontae, Azariah and Trai Lee. And many other close family and friends including special friends, Angelo Santoya, Rashad Montgromery, Mel Delong, Vince Motley, James and DeVaughn Collins and Kendrick King. 

Anthony is preceded in death by: Close figures: Joseph Henderson Everett Hall and Edward Hall Jr; Grandmother: Christine Barnes; Grandfather: James Barnes; Great-Grandfather Johny “Gramps” Crosby; Uncles: Clarence and Willie James Barnes; Aunts: Ledora and Odessa Barnes and Rosemary Hardin; Niece: Nala Wallace; Cousins: Isaac Barnes, Bessie Mae Joshua, Tony Joshua, Deandre Stewart, Jessica Wilson, Roy Lee Blair, and Alan Hutson; and Close Friends: Demene Hall and Tubby. 

Tone will be missed dearly and we will forever pass on his love and philosophy to future generations.
