Anthony Earl Smith (Scooter) departed this world Saturday, April 16, 2011 at Covenant Healthcare-Cooper. Age 25 years. He was born April 10, 1986 in Saginaw, Michigan to Billy and Sherita Smith.
He attended Heavenrich Elementary School, Webber Middle School and Arthur Hill High School until his health failed him. He continued his education home bound. Anthony attended New Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Kenneth Reed. He later reunited with Zion Valley Missionary Baptist Church with his uncle Pastor John Rincher. He was a fan of wrestling and enjoyed listening to music, playing his PSP and taking pictures.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Xavier Anthony Dillard; parents, Billy and Sherita Smith; sister, Kenya (Eugene) Collins; brothers, Billy (Yolanda) Collins, Kareem (Tamara) Geralds; grandparents, Jeryl Ervin, Muskegon, MI, Crawford (Ida) Crowell, Muskegon, MI, Thelma Smith, Alabama, Katie Wilford; great-grandfather, Jerimah Ervin; godparents, Rick Sr. (Beveline) Wilson, Johnnie (Mary) Fifer; godchild, James Wilson; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends, including a special friend, LaShae Lee, Lansing, MI. The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Campbell and Dr. Pruitt.
Anthony was preceded in death by his grandfather, Soul Rincher.
