Anthony Terry Sylvertooth, Sr. (Eastpointe, MI)

Mr. Anthony Terry Sylvertooth, Sr. sunset was on Sunday, November 24, 2024, in the comfort of his home surrounded by loved ones. He did not leave this world alone or in pain, but in peace and engulfed in love. Age 62 years. He was born Wednesday, January 17, 1962, to Clyde Major and Erma Lee Sylvertooth in Lansing, Michigan. He was the youngest of 4 children.

In his school aged years, Terry was very clever and ahead of his time. He attended Lansing Everett High School and excelled in basketball, playing with the likes of Magic Johnson and others. His favorite subject was science, and his favorite past times were watching StarTrek, National Geographic and Animal Planet.

Many times, you could catch Terry staring off into space, gazing past what was in front of him. He was a very abstract thinker. The amount of "out of the ordinary information" he retained was fascinating.

Terry was always available to lend a helping hand. Whether it be yard work, painting, fixing a car or another odd job-Terry was your man. He had so many skills he really could've been anything he wanted to be.

Life held its struggles for Terry, but my daddy proved to be stronger than any of it for the last 15 years of his life. My daddy never stopped loving his people.

Terry leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Marilyn D.; 4 children, Anthony, Sherraine, Italia and Terrell (Terrance); 5 grandsons, 6 granddaughters; brothers, Warren and Steven; sister, Deborah; many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
