On Tuesday, March 31, 2015 Ms. April Rucker gained her heavenly wings and flew into the arms of Jesus. Age 29 years. She was born June 8, 1985 in Saginaw, Michigan to Lisa Ann Rucker and Allen Jones.
April graduated from Mackinaw Academy on June 1, 2005. She received her Certified Nursing Assistant license from Latoyas Health Education in 2011. April enjoyed decorating, singing and playing board games. She loved spending time with her friends and family. April had a habit of sucking her thumb. Her wonderful presence will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Lisa Ann Rucker; father, Allen (Edna) Jones; one sister, Tanisha Shalondra Rucker; two brothers, Robert Derrell Rucker and Allen Gregory Jones Jr.; one nephew, Zachery Dalvon Rucker; three nieces, SaNyia Glover, Zikierya Marie Brown and Amazing Stinson; eight aunts, Jacqueline Jones, Sharon Larry, Cora Nelson, Patricia Wilson, Rosemary, Phyllis, Niecee and Lynn Jones; three great-aunts, Elizabeth Pierson, Mary Ann Ducree and Dorothy Ducree; seven uncles, Kenneth (Trina) Lytle, Larry (Vickie) Nelson, Clarence (Tasha) Nelson, Everrette Craig, Field Jones and Eddie Cousins; two great-uncles, Cleveland (Martha) Ducree, and Larry Ducree; four god-children, Monae Lytle, Shaterrianna Little, Lamoni Dawkins and DMarion Williams; her loving god-parents, Angela Galvin, John Flinnon and Lisa Terrell; five god-brothers, Anthony Brazil, Calvin McReynolds, Bill Little Jr, Travis Ferrell and Jeremiah Lindsey; three god-sisters, Melanie Terrell, Shanika Terrell and Shonda Galvin; April had a host of relatives and friends whom she loved dearly including her special friends, Curtis Barry and Tina Arnold.
April was preceded in death by her grandparents, Irma Brantley and Robert Rucker Sr. and A.C. (Geneva) Jones, great-grandmother, Mary Brantley; two aunts, Therma Walker and Sandra Smith, one uncle, Willie Lytle, a special cousin, Brittney Couvillion and one god-brother, Jovan Kimball.
