Archie David Morlik, Jr.

Mr. Archie David Morlik, Jr. passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Brittany Manor in Midland, Michigan at the age of 69 years. He was born on September 1, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan to Archie Morlik, Sr., and Mary (Hillier) Morlik.


Archie was a resident of Bridgeport, Michigan and was a graduate of Bridgeport High School, Class of 1965. He served with the United States Army May 20, 1967 until May 9, 1969, receiving an Honorable Discharge. Archie continued to serve with the U.S. Army Reserves until May 10, 1972. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with family and friends. Archie will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Archie Jr. leaves to cherish loving memories his former wife, Lorna (Carroll) Freeman; two daughters, Robin (Tom) Byers of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Jessica Spann (Dennis Obermiller) of Bridgeport, Michigan; two sons, Reginald (Lisa) Carroll of Cleveland, Texas and Richard (Lisa) Morlik of Birch Run, Michigan; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Mathews of San Diego, California; many other relatives and friends.

Archie was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Morlik, Sr. and Mary Hillier Morlik; daughter, Angelena Carroll; brothers, Bill and Don Prueter and brother-in-law, Ted Mathews.

The family would like to express special thanks to Archies caregivers at Brittany Manor of Midland, Michigan, especially nurse, Beth Dykstra.

In accordance with Archie's wishes, cremation has taken place.
