Mr. Archie Wilson, born November 23, 1934, was the eighth of twelve children born to the union of Clendry and Freddie Lee (Foster) Wilson in Derma, Mississippi. He departed this life November 30, 2018 at the age of 84 years.
Archie was joined in marriage to Mae (Gaston) on August 5, 1955. The family moved to Saginaw, Michigan November 23, 1965 to provide for their growing family. It was at this time the family found their church home, True Vine Missionary Baptist Church.
Archie found employment with the General Motors Corporation Malleable Iron Plant and was a member of UAW Local 455. He retired with thirty years of dedicated service. Archie had strong work ethics and believed it was his duty to provide for his family. He was a proud man but had a very humble spirit. He loved his westerns, action movies and sports.
Archie was preceded in death by his parents, Clendry and Freddie Lee (Foster) Wilson; son, Kenny Wilson; siblings, Annie Hollis, Clendry Wilson, Jr., Della Mae Brownlee, Cubbie Wilson, Ruthie Nell Lawrence, Irma J. Price, Mary L. Gaiter and D.S. Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted and loving wife of 63 years, Mae; six sons, McNally Wilson, Ray Wilson, (Tulsa, Oklahoma), Maxie Wilson, Calvin Wilson, (Houston, Texas), Kevin, Wilson, Bernard Wilson, Rockford, Illinois; siblings, Sonny Wilson, Derma, Mississippi, Bobbie J. Thompson, Memphis, Tennessee, May R. Isom; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
