Mother Arcola Glass passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Center. Age 91 years. She was born on March 23, 1926 in Meridian, Mississippi to William O. and Crucy Artie Bailey Wilson.
Arcola was a graduate of St. Joseph High School in Saginaw, Michigan. She was of the Jehovah’s Witness faith. Arcola enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She was married to Joseph Glass on October 13, 1946, and was a very loving and kind wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mother Glass leaves to cherish loving memories three daughters and three sons, Evelyn L. Riley, Joseph L. Glass, Josephine Billinger, Avon Quist, Kent D. Glass and Steven Glass, Sr.; grandchildren, Dudley Jr., Robine, Desiree, Bobby, Diminick, Demeatrius, Jonas, Essie, Jordan, Stephen Jr., Damien, Shamika and Shanika; many great and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Wilson Morgan, Detroit, Michigan and Leaster E. Smith, Moss Point, Mississippi; two brothers, Clarence L. Wilson, Meridian, Mississippi, Alvin O. (Verlean) Wilson, Saginaw, Michigan; goddaughter, Tonya Ruffin-Brown; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; one brother-in-law, Robert Patton; many other relatives and friends; special friends, Sister Nardas Patterson, Sister Gloria Hill and Sister Rita Brown.
Mother Glass was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Glass; sisters, Helen Waters, Mattie Valdez Patton; brother, Robert Wilson.
