Arquetta Bibbs (Lansing)

Ms. Arquetta Monae Bibbs, also known as “Quetta”, “Goober” and “Remy” transitioned peacefully from this life on Monday, October 25, 2021, at her residence in Indianapolis, Indiana. Age 31 years. She was born February 7, 1990, to Harriette Curry and Willie Bibbs in Lansing, Michigan.

Remy was raised by Harriette and Robert Curry in Lansing, Michigan. She graduated from J.W. Sexton High School and attended Career Quest Learning Center. Remy was dependable and loyal. She always completed any task she started. After graduation, she began working and was employed by several local businesses including her last employer , Finish Line Warehouse. Remy would brighten up any room she entered. Her smile and contagious laughter could bring joy to everyone. She was the life of the party. Remy loved music; she enjoyed rapping, singing, and dancing. Remy moved to Indiana for better opportunities. When her health began to change, she moved in with her sister and brother, Tawanna and Parnell Lanier, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories her parents, Harriette (Robert) Curry; sisters, Tawanna (Parnell) Lanier, Shemeckia Conner, Jameka McAbee, Alicea (Cobie) Lott, Tenisha Carter, Rashia Curry; brothers, Kevelin Conner, Casey and Travis (Tracy) Greenlee; grandparents, Ruby (James) Agee and Bruno May, as well as bonus sister, Rashidah; aunts, Annie Chaney and Doris Hister; uncles, Tony (Renee) Agee and David (Lorelie) Curry; goddaughter, Maaliyah DeMyers; nieces, Tamarria, Tyniah, Paeyton, Tamara, and Ra-Neithiah; nephews, Kevelin, Tavonne, Parnell, Jr., Amadi, Tyrese, Willie, and great-nephews, Jayden and Julian; special cousins, Dominique Houston, Capriani Burtley, Dontae Walls, Tia Davis, Veronica Green, Rickia Williams, and many other cousins that Remy loved dearly; and friends, including special friends, Toya Price, Chevy Taylor, LeeAndre LaGarde, Spechall Trainor, The Twins, LaTisha McCray, Arica Williams, Shereasa Miller, Jaquesha Clark, Daphne Reece, Rochelle Clark and Love Sedy; many other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and last, but certainly not least, special cousins, Michael Davis, Jr., Jazmine, and Danny; special friends, Ieasha Dixon and the Verser Family.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Bibbs; brother, Willie Greenlee; great-grandmother, Leola Conner; great uncles, Douglas, Nathaniel, and Hayward Connor; great-aunts, Eliza Houston and Ethyl Connor.
