Ms. Artaree Braxton went home to be with the Lord on January 16, 2011. Age 63 years. She was born July 23, 1947 in Marion, Arkansas to Bertha Mae Carter and Robert Carter.
Artaree, known as Ree Baby resided in Saginaw, Michigan. She retired from Prestolite Foundry after 30 years of service. She enjoyed watching basketball,
football, cooking and cherished time spent with her
children.
She leaves to cherish her memory eleven children, Charles
Braxton of Memphis, TN; Valerie Braxton, Saginaw, MI, Angela (George) Mensah, Ohio, Tommie (Lisa) Prater, John Prater (Lady Bug) Jose Braxton, Joseph Braxton, Jaime Braxton, Tameka Parter, Earnest Prater Jr, all of Saginaw; grandchildren, Arshen and Lionel Baldwin, Anthony (Breanna) Spencer, Tommie Prater Jr., Darnell, John Prater Jr., Leonardo Parker Jr. III, Na-Na Williams, Tay Tay, Nino Parker, Jo Jo and Nevaeh, nine sisters; five brothers; many nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends including special friends, Gus Tyler, Lady T, Maystein, Stephanie, aunt Leola and uncle Otis. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice and Dr. Hughes and staff.
