Mr. Arthur Hanes Jr. passed away Thursday, May 2, 2013 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 66 years. He was born June 24, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to Arthur and Ruby Hanes Sr.
Arthur was very educated. He held bachelor degrees in three areas of study. Arthur was an advocate for his community. Always helping and educating others fight for their human rights. In his spare time he enjoyed remodeling homes and drawing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Ruby L. Gary; five sisters, Katherine Vail, Florine Coghill, Sharon Watson, Barbara J. (Oscar) Bailey, Rosemary Gary; two brothers, Willie James and Charles Gary; eight nieces, Danina, RaShonda, Angela, Tina, Fatina, Natasha, Syreeta and Charrell; five nephews, Jeremy, Tony, Andre, Anthony and Jarvis; many other relatives and friends including special buddies, Sammie Lee Jackson, James Jones, Leroy Jones and Charles Robinson.
Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Hanes Sr., stepfather, Willie L. Gary, grandmother, Annie Lee Rebecca Georgegena Holden, one sister, Josephine Gary.
