Arthur Haynes

August 16, 1944 — February 17, 2013

Our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Arthur Lee Haynes passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Covenant Healthcare. Age 68 years. He was born August 16, 1944 in Benoit, Mississippi to Lula Mae and Harrison Haynes Jr.
Mr. Haynes was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized at an early age. Arthur attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a 1964 graduate of Saginaw High School. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Arthur retired from General Motors Saginaw Steering Gear after 33 years of faithful service. He was also a member of UAW Local 699. Arthur was known for his beautiful smile. He was a lover of music, especially a good drum beat. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
His precious memory will be cherished by two sisters, Velma Hall and Thelma Haynes; three brothers, Walter (Annie), Willie (Bobby) and LJ Haynes, all of Saginaw, Michigan; a special niece and nephew, Gloria Jean Haynes, Patterson, New Jersey, Lamar Haynes, Saginaw, Michigan; many other relatives and friends including the 14th Street Old Timers.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Mae and Harrison Haynes Jr., three brothers, Joseph, Eddie and LC Haynes, two sisters, Betty Sue and Margaret Haynes.
The family of the late Arthur Lee Haynes sincerely appreciates your thoughtfulness and prayers during this time of sorrow. A special thank you to his caregivers, John and Dorothy Moore. We would like to extend our heart-felt gratitude to Covenant Healthcare. May God bless each of you.
