Arthur Richardson (Lansing)

Mr. Arthur “Archie” Richardson arose on January 14, 1949 and departed this earth on Monday, April 1, 2019. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the union of Robert and Mabel Richardson.

Archie moved to Lansing, Michigan at a very young age where he attended and graduated from West Junior High School. In Lansing, Archie was employed at Lindell Drop Forge which is also the same place his father was employed. Archie was joined in marriage with Sharon Richardson for 10 years and from that union two beautiful children were created. Archie loved to cook and grilling BBQ was one of his favorite pastimes. He was a dapper man and loved dressing up in his favorite suits, playing basketball in his backyard driveway, driving his old school Cadillac (Lac), roller skating and had a passion for always wanting to bake his favorite cakes among many other things. Archie lived life and loved spending time with family and friends!

Archie leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Carolyn (Pernell) Renae Richardson-Evans; son, Marcel Richardson; seven grandchildren, Gabrielle Dowker, Danielle (Antonio) Smith, Rashad Richardson, Pernasia Evans, Pernell Evans Jr. and twins Malayiah and Malaysia Richardson; one sister, Cheryl Richardson; two Brothers, William (Deborah) Richardson and Donald Richardson; along with many loving great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends, including longtime special brother/friend Bobby Smith.

Archie is preceded in death by his parents and brother Bobbie Richardson.

The family of Archie Richardson is most grateful for the gift of friends like you, who have been so kind and thoughtful during these hours of pain and sorrow. Your prayers, visits, calls, flowers and every act of kindness have given us strength and inspiration to face this difficult hour! May God continue to bless and comfort us and each of you! Thank you!
